Adam never "pretended" to be anything or anyone! His outrageous style and performances could hardly be taken for pretending to be straight.
You mistake his NOT saying he was gay (nobody's business), for "pretending to be straight"

AMERICAN Idol. Everyone on that show has all the rights of an American. No one signed a damned thing saying "I will pretend to be that which I am not". Enough said.

it isn't about him fessing up it comes down to what he is obligated to reveal. American Idol contestants are not allowed to publicly discuss there sexual orientation. I highly doubt he portrayed himself as being a closeted gay did you not see the finale and for that matter every episode before. I just could not bring myself to vote for a closet case. Kris Allen may be a straight Christian family man, but he was always better than Adam's. I just couldn't base my vote on an "Is he or isn't he?" question.~jack |
