Actually...your entire post reads the exact opposite! You said, "I just could not bring myself to vote for a closet case." (which, of course, Adam wasn't), and, "Kris Allen may be a straight Christian family man, but he was alwayss honest sbout who he was." (sic).
Thanksfully, through his dress and style...Adam was also always honest about who he was...and he never said he was anything else.

Did you not read the entire post. I explained that that had nothing to do with my vote.

I can't understand WHY you feel Adam had to come out and declare his sexuality to get your vote. He NEVER lied about who he was - he just never stated it, which just as it should be. Kris, nor any of the other contestants, ever came out and made a declaration, "I AM STRAIGHT!" You made the assumption that Kris was straight based purely on the fact he is a married christian. We all know there are plenty of closet cases that fit into one or both of those categories. Being mad at Adam for not making a declaration about his sexuality is nothing but reverse hypocrisy. How many times do we tell people that our sexuality "shouldn't be an issue!" As he said, he is who he is....get over it! Well no kidding folks! He has finally fessed up to Rolling Stone. What a shame he couldn't be honest when running for Idol's top spot. I just could not bring myself to vote for a closet case. Kris Allen may be a straight Christian family man, but he was alwayss honest sbout who he was. Plus, I enjoyed his style a lot better than Adam's. I just couldn't base my vote on an "Is he or isn't he?" question.~jack |
